Users of older iPhones and iPod touches don’t get the best features of iOS 4, the new iPhone operating system. But we do get a few new goodies.
The big new feature of iOS 4 is multitasking — the ability to run selected applications in the background while doing other things in the foreground.
But don’t get too excited, my fellow iPhone 3G users. We don’t get multitasking. The processor in the 3G just isn’t powerful enough. Same thing for the iPod touch G2, which is pretty much the same device as the iPhone 3G, without the phone parts.

Most people do not realize they have a problem with the operating system for personal computers until they get an error message when the computer is on one day. Before the system reaches this point, the computer user may have noticed that the system has slowed considerably over a period of several weeks and the keyboard or other input devices, and poor work gibberish is written on the computer screen. The error message could come in digital form that lists an error code or it may come with a blue screen showing on the computer screen that alerts the user of a fatal error that operating prevents the computer operating system loading. A computer user might try to restart the operating system several times with the same result. Then they might consider using a recovery disc that contains the diagnostic software could identify what the source of the problem. Some computer operating systems that users access to diagnostic software from repeatedly hitting the F8 key on the computer keyboard. This procedure will be the operating system in a secure mode which will allow the operator to perform multiple diagnoses on the computer system itself. Some programs can now operate normally in Safe mode, but if errors are detected and repaired, the computer system should load normally on next reboot. Using this type of diagnostic software will require an understanding of error codes and parameters by which the computer works. The user manual has a complete list of error codes and the list will also explain what they mean. Although the computer is running in safe mode, the operating system provides the computer operator many choices on the computer screen that will repair the errors that are on the hard drive of your computer. Changes must be made in small quantities on the computer while it is running in Safe Mode. Any changes that occur on digital disk drive will directly affect the functioning of the computer system responds when it is restarted. Some changes to make the computer unusable and all information on the system could be damaged and is unusable. Every computer user must activate the system restore option in the Control Panel icon in the purchase of the computer. The restoration of the selection system allows diagnostic software to restore the system to an earlier time, and is particularly useful when the system stops working after new software or hardware has been installed. The computer system restore software is a tool for diagnosing major system that many users forget to start. Restoring the settings will be materials recovery easier if the system stops responding due to infection by viruses or corrupted software. If the diagnostic software can not repair the system, the user is confronted with the relocation of the operating system from disks of exploitation that are included with each new computer system. A good rule to follow is to save information on a daily, weekly or monthly to ensure that no data is lost. There are many data recovery software on the market to help recover data if the diagnosis of the operating system programs fail to solve the problem.
